Paymo is a time, invoice, and income tracker primarily for freelancers and small businesses. It may be used to track hourly time, projects, clients, and to create invoices and reports.
Paymo was founded by Jan Lukacs in 2007. The company is privately owned and based in Romania. The site has approximately 6,000 unique visitors per month.
The application is completely free for two users and three invoices per month. It is extremely easy to use with an uncluttered, attractive interface.
After registration, users may set up a basic profile including logo. Users can set up invoice settings including default hourly rates, tax, etc. Email templates are available for invoices, new project assignments, and new task assignments.
The Dashboard features a graph of hours worked, company performance, and statistics. The home page includes a calendar for milestone tracking, a time sheet, task lists, timer, client list, project list, users, invoicing, and report creation. Users may also add custom tabs to the Paymo desktop for several of the sections.
The interface is intuitive and very easy to use. The tools are all very useful and straightforward. The application also includes a downloadable desktop widget that tracks time for projects directly from the computer.
Users must provide a company name, username, full name, password, email address, time zone, and subdomain tag.
Paymo’s free plan for freelancers provides free time tracking, two users, and three invoices per month (add unlimited invoices for $9.99/month). The Premium plan is $3.99/user/month and includes as many users and invoices as needed.
Freelancers and small businesses will benefit from using Paymo not only as a time tracker and invoice tool, but to analyze use of time and increase productivity.
